Six-Month Retake Policy

*Effective October 1st, 2008 - You may retake (at no additional charge) the same level and same version of a course for up to six months from the date of your original enrollment, on a space available basis. If you wish to retake a class, you must bring your original courseware manual.

Colorado Cancellation and Refunds Policy

A prospective student will receive a full refund if not accepted by the school. The student will receive a full refund of tuition and fees paid if the school discontinues a course/program within a period of time a student could have reasonably completed it, except that this provision shall not apply in the event the school ceases operation.

When canceling 3 business days prior to the start of course, the student will receive a full refund. If a student fails to cancel a course in which they enrolled 3 days before the start of the course, the late Cancellation fee will be charged ($150 or 25% of the contract price whichever is less). The late Cancellation fee must be paid by the student before the student will be allowed to attend another course. If a student fails to attend a class for which they are enrolled, there will be no refund, but the student may reenroll in a future course on a space available basis. Refunds pertain to training only. Online ANYTIME Libraries, books, supplies, and equipment are exempt from the refund policy. Refunds will be provided within 30 days of termination. The official date of termination or withdrawal of a student shall be determined in the following manner: The date on which the school receives notice of the student's intention to discontinue the training program; or the date on which the student violates published school policy, which provides for termination. Should a student fail to return from an excused leave of absence, the effective date of termination for a student on an extended leave of absence or a leave of absence is the earlier of the date the school determines the student is not returning or the day following the expected return date. Any credits granted for previous training at other facilities shall not impact the refund policy. Refunds only pertain to courses scheduled at New Horizons CLC of Colorado. Student is responsible for signing and retaining a copy of the refund policy. Please refer to the refund policy specific to your program.

After training begins the following refund policy applies for individual courses and healthcare programs:

  • Withdrawing within first 10% of program - 90% refund
  • Withdrawing after 10% but within first 25% of program - 75% refund
  • Withdrawing after 25% but within first 50% of program - 50% refund
  • Withdrawing after 50% but within first 75% of program - 25% refund
  • Withdrawing after 75% of program - No Refund

For application CLUBS the refund policy is based on 4 courses representing a complete program, and there will not be a refund. For the Technical CLUB, the refund policy is based on an average course price of $1,595. Eight courses taken in the Technical CLUB represents a complete program, and there will not be a refund. In the event that less than 4 or 8 courses are taken in the respective CLUBS, the refund will be based on the chart above. For TRACKS purchased at special discounted pricing, the student's refund will reflect the amount left after the courses taken have been subtracted at list price, along with any courseware received and any Online training accessed and any testing vouchers. Special pricing is based on volume and if not all courses initially agreed upon are taken then the special pricing requirements were not met and the courses are sold at list price. The discounts are applied to the last courses in the program. The first courses taken in a program are taken at list price. Any courseware received, any Online training accessed, and any testing vouchers are all non-refundable. Refunds will only be honored when requested two years from the date of the invoice. "Opened" courseware is non-refundable.

Postponement of a starting date, whether at the request of the school or the student, requires a written agreement signed by the student and the school. The agreement must set forth: Whether the postponement is for the convenience of the school or the student, and: A deadline for the new start date, beyond which the start date will not be postponed. If the course is not commenced, or the student fails to attend by the new start date set forth in the agreement, the student will be entitled to an appropriate refund of prepaid tuition and fees within 30 days of the deadline of the new start date set forth in the agreement, determined in accordance with the school's refund policy and all applicable laws and rules concerning the Private Occupational Act of 1981.
